What Guests Are Saying
Axtel campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, particularly Vickie, who ensures a pleasant experience for visitors. Many families enjoy the quiet atmosphere, spacious campsites with easy access to water activities, and a welcoming community of fellow campers. However, some guests noted issues such as low water levels, closed restrooms, and occasional noise, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experiences reported.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have been to. It is very large with great views of the surrounding lake. Sites are also large with plenty of room . We love camping here!

The 2nd bathhouse in area G was shutdown even though EVERY site was completely occupied from Friday to Sunday, the attendant was never there for check in...our site was not cleaned prior to our arrival, the bathhouse ran out of toilet paper twice...EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED

We love going to Axtel. But wish they had better restrooms. The light was out over the stalls and no soap in the man's bathroom. They don't clean them very good. I did say something to the lady that cleans. Did not help the situation.

Check in was easy and attendants were welcoming and enjoyable to speak to. Very helpful with the questions I had. Their directions to the campsite were perfect. Upon arriving to campsite, there was a lot of trash in the fire pit and around the campsite. Unknowingly, our campsite had a path to the water and we regularly had people walking through our site to reach it.

Always keep your first email because your reminder email does not always have the pass code. Because they are not in the building on Tuesday and Wednesday
