Something needs to be done about all the golf carts to many young kids driving them. Cars was parking in beach area where several people was swimming the site are getting in bad shape several sites need the weeds sprayed and rock added

While the sites need some attention (more grave to cover the dirt/mud) the sites are large. The park attendants are friendly and helpful - areal big plus for this location.

New contract with cleaning restrooms is not going well. We have contacted Corps. No hand soap. No toilet paper. Not rinsing floors or showers.

We love coming to Axtel, the best camp ground in the state. The camp host this year do such a great job, and they are so friendly. They make this camp ground best in the state. Thanks

Showers haven’t been rinsed out in weeks. Campers are purchasing and providing soap and toilet paper. Army Corps has been contacted multiple times including the project manager. Project manager came out to “take a look” after a few weeks. No change. Don’t book here unless you can camp and avoid the restrooms. Also, trash is piling up next to dumpsters. The trash contract must be new this year too. They empty dumpsters, but leave trash beside them from previous week. Hoping this will be addressed soon. Public health issue. Looking for a new favorite campground for next year.

Begin at ramp onto I-64 West toward New Albany/St. Louis, traveling 22.3 miles. Take the IN-135, Exit Number 105, toward Palmyra/Corydon, onto IN-135 South toward Corydon, traveling 16.7 miles. Continue on Bypass Road KY-79 for 2.1 miles. Turn right onto KY-79, traveling 10.1 miles. Continue on 1st Avenue, KY-79S for 495 feet. Turn a slight right onto US-60, traveling 11.8 miles. Turn left onto KY-259/KY-79, traveling 9.7 miles. Turn right to stay on KY-79, traveling .7 miles. End at 663 South Highway 79, McDaniels, KY.
