Very nice. Did not like the leaf blower that the camp host used, very noisy. 2 showers in the J loop is not enough.

Noise from nearby treatment facility is frequent and loud. Should have been warned.

When we were setting up we noticed sewage coming out of a pipe 20 feet from our site. I reported this to the check in station. He had the camp host cap it off. When we got back we found out the sewage cap was on his site. He had opened it so he could get another flush or two in at his rv. We were prepping our ebikes to ride them and he immediately ran over to tell us we couldn't ride ebikes, which is not what the Federal park law set in 2020 says. So this was probably in retaliation of us complaining about the host dumping raw sewage on our site. It rained that night and this brought out the sewage smell so we left a day early, and requested a refund, that we did not receive. Unbelievable that a camp host is allowed to get away with this behavior. We were at site A39. Avoid this site and any near it.

J loop was not as clean as previous years. Tree debris on site and fire pit was full of old wet ashes that hadn’t been cleaned out. Shower heads need work. Some low overhanging branches in the road in the loop that hit our roof.

Sites were kept up and clean as well as the bathhouse. For those looking to stay here, a cautionary note: the sites on the lower part of D loop are near the sewage treatment facility. While it wasn't smelly, it was rather loud.
To management: Please install a sound barrier around the sewage treatment facility to deaden the noise.

I stayed in the H loop and I must say it was beautiful. The sites are large giving you plenty room and no crowed feeling. The bath house was very clean and the individual rooms gives you privacy. The lack of water and electricity at every site does make it challenging when most campgrounds have this. The hiking trail to the top of Twin Knobs is well worth the trek. The hiking trail next to the lake is not as maintained as the other. Bring things for kids to play with because they don't have playgrounds in any of the loops, the beach was closed so I don't know what's there.
