What Guests Are Saying
Zilpo Campground is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for many long-time visitors. While some amenities, such as hot water availability and maintenance support, have declined, most campers still enjoy the private, serene sites and the access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. However, issues like noise from other campers and limited store supplies have been noted, highlighting areas for improvement.

Couldn’t imagine a better place to camp other than dispersed camping. Facilities were great and were well maintained. Nice quiet and peaceful place to stay.

Beautiful spot. Sites are large and private. Cabin bunkbeds are not double, but single. There is padding on the bedframes. Facilities are clean. Staff is very helpful.

It was pretty, I swam a lot and had a good time. The only problem was that some of the other people there were very LOUD and inconsiderate. Somebody leaving their poor dog alone on their site, then going out for dinner, then as night falls the poor dog is going NUTS and whining and barking because it's scared and doesn't know where its people are... and then of course, the people return like 15 minutes before quiet hours so they don't get busted. And some people played music way too loud. On one side, the people were playing mariachi music for HOURS, and on the other side, the people were playing every tired, played-out song from the 1990's for hours also... I think the only one they didn't play was Heart Shaped Box, by Nirvana.
There needs to be more enforcement of the noise policy, or something banning playing music by electronic means, or something. If someone wants to drown out the sounds of nature with all that racket, I don't know why they don't just stay home.
