We had such a wonderful time. Everyone who worked at the park was so informative and accommodating. We are going to make it a yearly trip! The only problem was one day a truck with a confederate flag and that message of hate doesn't belong in our national parks but I know that is something you cannot control.

Nice Campground but a lot of Insects. You might encounter some horses, eventually in the middle of the night. Toilets are not very nice and for $40/night one should expect a bit more 'luxury'. $25 would be a fair deal but $40 is definitely overpriced.

Please consider a park entry reservation system during the summer, especially holidays & weekends, as park is over capacity with cars also parked on the grass & bumper to bumper traffic on long access road. Wild ponies are inundated with aggressive tourists & congestion!!!

Great beach! Site was as described. Facilities better than expected but hot water would have made this a 5 star review. Camping with the horses is an amazing experience but make sure to have Deet spray-the bugs are unreal.

The park was fine. The negatives to the experience was the sand flies and not having electricity. We had to open our windows and the flies came in through the screens, by the 1000s. We were scheduled to stay 3 nights, but left a day early.

This site is not as long as they say. The sand dune has covered many feet with significant sand. We had to dig down to find the asphalt so the camper feet would be on solid ground. This site also had 2 inches of water pooled in it so we had to push that out of the site before we could settle in. After that all was good

Camp ground has ocean front views and clean bathrooms/ showers. Private beach for campground only. It can be very windy close to water. Prepare to have good tent and ability to secure - fire starter helpful for wind.
