What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Very nice campground.
Only disappointment was the condition of the hiking trails. Due to last year’s winds there were many downed trees and portions of the trail were roped off. Particularly disappointing was lack of trail access to the metro station.

The park is a great green oasis in the beltway region. Close to DC, close to everything. Pack some bug repellent! We were absolutely mobbed by the lone star tick welcoming committee. I don't know if this is a regular occurrence, but the showers were full of dirt and leaves. Be ready for that, and long lines to use the single shower stall. Minor inconveniences aside, it was a quick getaway from Philadelphia and we're heading back again.
