This campground was great. There is a metro station about a mile & a half from the park. You can easily catch a train into DC. The park has clean bathrooms with hot showers. All staff members were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful campground central to DC sites. Friendly campground hosts provided lots of info on surrounding area, including restaurants, public transit, etc. Some sites not tent friendly but we were there midweek so had a choice of sites. Would stay again. Very affordable! Loved the hiking trails in the park.

We used this campground as a base for sightseeing in the D.C. area. It is a ten minute drive (or 2 mile walk) to the College Park metro stop. There is a parking deck at the metro station. Campground is wooded. You can hear some traffic, but really don't feel like you are surrounded by city.
