What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Stayed 2 nights here. Very close proximity to DC. The sites were ok, but the bathrooms were maybe the worst I've been to in the 4 months I've been living in my camper can. Very dirty, no soap, uncovered drain pipes. The showers did have hot water though.

individual campsites were in poor condition.
firepits were way too deep for any campfire activities.
toilet buildings were in atrocious condition with stall doors falling off and dilapidated inoperable plumbing fixtures.
conditions were so poor our two night visit ended after the first night.
will never return and will recommend against.

Nice park considering how close to the city it is, facilities need updates but were clean.

No hook ups… bathrooms were usable… the park was very crowded.. some cars were on the road and I could not pull my rig through without contacting the owners to relocate their vehicles

Love camping at Greenbelt Park! Perfect easy get away not far from DC. Here are my tips:
1. Bring your bike!
2. FYI: There are outlets in the bathrooms (and hot showers!!).
3. Bring lemongrass oil or deet bug spray to ward off ticks! They are particularly bad.
4. Leave your hammock at home. You can’t hang things from trees.
Hope this helps! Enjoy!

Our site B68 was at a good location. The sites were not close together so there is room for privacy between sites. The women's bathroom closest to our site was not great. There were 3 stalls and one did not have a door. The sinks looked dirty and although the sign said it would be cleaned daily at 1:30PM, it didn't look it to me. I did venture to the other women's bathroom which had showers and those bathrooms looked much cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing. Overall, it was a good campground except for the one bathroom's condition. We did some hiking in the trails near the campground. Would come again, can't beat the $20/night price!

Little noise but was okay since there are a lot of roads around.
The big concern in this park is the tick issue. My kids are afraid to go for camping again because they got bitten even when using spray.
Overall it was a good experience
