What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Nice little grounds so close to this high density area. Well away from the crowds, but still hear traffic noice all night. Facilities are in good shape.

I attempted to reschedule/cancel. This site did nothing! Very upset! 😡 I tried a month in advance to cancel! I will NEVER use this site again and do not recommend it!

Horrible!! A tree fell on me while camping and there was no urgency to remove it. After removal there has been NO follow up. No one even called to see if I was ok. My reservation for the next day was canceled. POOR management, POOR customer service. I never imagined any thing like this would happen and the park seems to want to brush it under the rug. I used to really like this campground. I am truly traumatized by this experience.

We had a fun time visiting DC, this campground was a great location for our family of little kids. We chose this site to camp for a great rate and spend our days in downtown DC seeing all the monuments. At night we could sit by the nice big firepit. We were able to fit our popup tent and our truck nicely. The bathrooms were always clean, and warm. Showers were available. The campground is nice and quiet, you can barely hear the city noise in the far distance. It is hard to believe you are that close to such a bustling city. What a beautiful fun experience.
