What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

I enjoyed our stay here. We came on a Sunday in August, and stayed for two nights. The campground was not busy at all. We originally booked site 70, but it was somewhat overgrown, and not very flat, so we moved to site 72, which was much better. The restrooms were clean, and it was nice to be able to jot out to the grocery store in a pinch. You do have to bring your own firewood, it is not sold on site. The biggest detractor is the nearby Baltimore/Washington Pkwy, which makes for some substantial road noise at night.

Washrooms are disgusting. I live in Canada and even our outhouses are better than the washrooms here.

Good spot with a lot of space to set up tents. All spots are a little close to each other but that’s just the layout of the grounds.
