Beautiful for a fall campout once the leaves are down and you can see the river. Only improvement I would ask for would be to make the well water drinkable.

Lovely spot by the Potomac. Only question was would the pump actually produce water had we needed it and I gave up after many pumps. Other than that, we quite enjoyed the campsite and location.

Beautiful park and camping. Searched for firewood by riding around the local area without success. Ended up scavenging some wood from park wooded area but there wasn’t much. Park restrooms were gross need more frequent cleaning service. Restrooms are heavily used by trail users.

Nice campsite, close to parking. Fire pit was great but would have been nice to have firewood options nearby. Also could be helpful to have campsite numbers closer to the road to find it easier after dark.

We had a good time. Site 5 could use a little better path to the river but everything was good.

Site 18 is an easy set up from the road, as it is right across the canal. Sadly, this ease also attracts squatters, whether they are set up at the campsite itself, or set up in floaties at the riverbank, necessitating them walking through your campsite. It's also very close to site 17, which is a smaller site and so if the people in 17 are exceeding the maximum number of people and tents, they will leak over into your peace and quiet.
Overall, it was an okay night, made better by the fish I was able to catch the next morning after the waters had settled down from the squatters.
