I was stoked there was a campsite available for the 4th of July weekend. The site was clean and easily accessible. The website said every other campsite would be open due to COVID-19, however that wasn't the case when we arrived. No big deal though, the campsites are spaced far enough apart that it wasn't concerning at all. The proximity to the river is hard to beat. Every site had its own trail to the river except for my particular site's trail, #10, was a little too over grown. Again, no problem because the site next to us let us use their trail. Overall, we had a great experience. Definitely plan to return when it cools down a bit!

I loved this campground. The vault toilets were clean (until maybe day 4, then they got a little stinky but hey that's the nature of the beast right?) and the sites were nice and flat. Beautiful views of the river and pretty sycamore trees galore. It was the beginning of COVID-19 season when we went so none of the neat historic downtown things were open which is unfortunate but it was still cool to drive around and look at the old buildings. Antietam Battlefield was very interesting.

Off season and very quiet. Only ones there. Toilet areas were clean and supplied. Sites were flat with fire ring and barbecue. Some fire rings also had a barbecue rack on them. Nice overlooking the river.

This is a great place to camp if you are riding the bike trail or planing to visit Antietam Historical Site... Well maintained with picnic tables and a pit toilet...
