What Guests Are Saying
Fifteen Mile Creek Campsite offers beautiful views of the Potomac River and is well-maintained, providing a peaceful and affordable camping experience. Many guests enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, clean restrooms, and access to biking and paddling opportunities. However, some noted issues such as noise from nearby parties, trash left by previous campers, and limited water access at the pump, suggesting improvements in maintenance and oversight are needed.

We spent a wonderful, quiet, dark night at Fifteen Mile Creek Campground. Sunrise on the canal, with the dramatic fog, was amazing. I met the owner of Bill's place, the bar/store in Little Orleans. He was super friendly and gave us tips of lookouts to go to, and we decided on Point Lookout ~ a must see! We spent an hour there at sunrise, watching the fog burn off, and it was one of the most spectacular sights we've ever seen! This is a hidden gem of a campground!

We had the group site and it was amazing. Lots of space separated from the other campers. Absolutely loved it!

It's a great place to hike and get into the water if you're kayaking. Unfortunately, it seems the locals treat it as party central. We were kept up until past 1AM by a group that was loud, drunk and apparently trying to set themselves and/or the area on fire putting lighter fluid on their campfire (and spitting it onto the campfire). One of them apparently also vomited in one of the two "stalls" of the campsite's restrooms, rendering it useless.
The fact is the group at campsite two was so completely inconsiderate of the rest of the campground, they made what could have been an awesome, relaxing weekend into a teeth-grinding ordeal. If you are lucky enough to not share the campground with a group like that, the hiking is awesome, and if the weather is warmer, the fishing usually is, too!

The campsite was very quiet, and we enjoyed the time in the woods.
