What Guests Are Saying
Fifteen Mile Creek Campsite offers beautiful views of the Potomac River and is well-maintained, providing a peaceful and affordable camping experience. Many guests enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, clean restrooms, and access to biking and paddling opportunities. However, some noted issues such as noise from nearby parties, trash left by previous campers, and limited water access at the pump, suggesting improvements in maintenance and oversight are needed.

Review for group site 10. We parked near site 4 to unload our stuff then parked cars in boat ramp parking lot. Great river for tubing. We started at bonds landing in green ridge state forest. Long day of tubing. The site itself was lovely. Good shade and sun if you want it. River access. Porter potty wasnβt too bad. Large site. 2 grills and 2 fire pits. We loved the area. Bills place was horrible. Iβll never go again. So rude! Also they sold me wet wood. Other than that it was a lovely trip. I will be back.

Lot 7 has no shade, the others have some type of trees to over some hide out from the sun.

Tiny, tiny loop with 9 sites very close together. Lots of daytime traffic to canal, bicycle trail traffic. Unsupervised campground. No squatters or conflicts, only one other site occupied. Bathroom and water available but must carry all trash out.

This is a beautiful spot right on the Potomac and c&o canal.
It is VERY basic however. No showers, running water, power, or any hookups. There really is very little arpund and depending on season, you may need to go 6 miles or more to nearest store.
Perfect for prepared tent camping however ;) bring a bike and do part of the canal, or fish the river ...
Fyi - there is a boat ramp - the river is shallow at this location. Would recommend float or flat bottomed boat

The App works really well, and I especially appreciate the fact that I can change sites after arriving. This campsite is perfect if you want to do some riding or hiking on the C&O Canal. Itβs by the river, and very peaceful and well kept.
