Beautiful park so close to dunes and Lake Michigan!! Threat of ticks were a little scary. Also tent campers should expect to have little privacy on their lot, was so close to many others. Was so loud at night due to other campers. Facilities themselves were wonderful and clean!

This is one of our favorite places to camp. It is well maintained and the lots are spread out so you feel like you have your own space.

We always enjoy our time at Platte River Campground. We enjoy its proximity to the lake, rivers for kayaking, trails and roads for hiking and biking. Our site this year was great!

This is one of our favorite Michigan campgrounds, we especially like the convivences of the N.P. Platte River canoe, kayak, launch point that is across the road from the campground entrance. That, and the reasonable 2.5-mile distance to the Lake Michigan Platte River takeout point makes self-launching & boat recovery manageable with the use of a bike Etc. to transvers between the two parking lots.

I love the Platte River surrounding. Love the Glen Harbor small town atmosphere and Bestie Lighthouse.

Platte River Campground is great for those campers who want to get away from the crowds. The campground is beautifully designed with sites large enough to ensure privacy and a sense of the beauty of this place. The administration and staff do a great job of maintaining the campground and also enforcing the guidelines for camping so that everyone can enjoy their time here.

Clean campground. Very busy. Sites are closer to each other than expected, but much better than State Parks. Have to travel to get to water.
