This campground is my families favorite campground. We stayed in the walk in tent sites and they are nice spots. We love that we can walk to lake michigan from our campsite. We always look forward to staying here every summer.

Despite administration cutbacks to our beloved NPS, Sleeping Bear Dunes and specifically, Platte River Campground staff continue to find ways to make the experience wonderful. Clean and inviting, this is one of the finest camping experiences in our National Parks.

Group site 2 is a fantastic site, arguably the best of their group sites due to shade and location to the parking lot and restrooms. Perfect for families with littles.
