Hands down, the nicest campground I've ever stayed at!
Very clean and modern facilities. Each site has some wooded area and, even though a fully packed campground, you're not right on top of your neighbors. The trails are well marked and it's easy to get out and explore.

Large sites. Lots of privacy. Clean bathrooms. Staff in office polite and helpful with activities nearby. Campfire wood was dry.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a walk-in site, but C-2 is about 200 steps from the parking/bathhouse. The sites are huge and well spread out so you won't notice other campers, but it's still close to the services you need.

I absolutely LOVE the Sleeping Bear Dunes Platte River Campground!! It is our favorite place to camp! The campground itself is beautiful, most sites have good privacy, the restrooms are well maintained, and the entire surrounding area is beautiful with lots of sites to see, beaches to enjoy and small towns to visit!

Beautiful campground, well tended. Friendly rangers, clean restrooms, great showers in newer part of the campground. Paths to Lake Michigan, or a short drive to the joining of the Platte and the "big" lake.

Platte river campground never disappoints. I’ve been coming here since I was 7 I am now almost 40 and this is still one of my favorite places in the world. Try the walk in campsites for a backpack type way to camp with conveniences of showers and real bathrooms. The beaches, dune climb, scenic drive, sunset at the lighthouse, and kayaking the platte are definitely my must sees.
