What Guests Are Saying
Ausable River Camping offers a beautiful and serene environment, with spacious, well-maintained sites and picturesque views of the river. Campers appreciate the remote, rustic charm and the opportunities for fishing and hiking. While there are some concerns regarding ticks, road conditions, noise from generators, and occasional issues with campsite bookings, many visitors still express a strong desire to return for another experience in nature.

The site was great! It was spacious for our group and we were far away from other campers. However, it was initially very hard to find.

I very much enjoyed this site. It is boat/ kayak in , which takes a good amount of time. The parking and boat launch areas are not close. Waste is bury or carry out. It's up on a hill on an outcrop so you will have a good 360 view, river traffic will be able to see you as well , it can get windy (but shouldn't be a huge problem). There are other sites in view, but the spacing is not close. It's rustic camping, a fire ring and nothing else. Be prepared.

No place to fish no phone coverage. To high off water and if you walk down to water there is to much down trees and weeds to fish

Great rates and very nice secluded area. Really enjoyed it. I also needed to change the date and that was also very easy.
