Spent a couple of nights in May when it was cool and quiet. A few boats out on the lake and our site was right on the water, which was nice. But the campground was sparsely occupied which made for a relaxing stay. We live downstate Michigan and travel to the U.P. to visit family, so this will be a nice stopover on the way home.

Poor reception from host. we were forced to pay for a night before 5/13/2021. When we came in on 5/14/2021 before the 2:00 check in and the sight was open. . Had reservations for 5/15/2021 - 5/17/2021.

I’m reluctant to give a glowing review because I want to be able to get a site here again. :)
My family of 5 had a great time on a huge campsite, and short drive to the Fiborn Karst Preserve where we explored for a day. Next time we’ll bring our boat so we can fish too.

A level gravel pad for RV parking would be a big plus. currently all dirt. Check in time should be moved to noon. currently 2pm I was told I could not set up camp before 2pm even if site is empty??

We haven't camped in several years, but I remembered Brevoort Lake campground and how beautiful it was. Still is. We are "rustic" campers and used a tent. I was surprised at how many large trailers people brought into the campground. Camping has really become popular. A couple of the the large campers near us used generators into the evening. It took away some of the tranquility of rustic camping but we still enjoyed the campground.
