This campground is a great option with a great lake for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, etc. The grounds/facilities were well maintained during our stay. We typically like to stay at one of the smaller, rustic sites for the quiet and limited human interaction, so I would suggest weekdays if you are looking for the same. No bad experiences but traffic in the campground definitely picked up on Friday evening.

The rain!...you can't do anything about it happening, but maybe some of the ground could be leveled out and drainage created so there aren't puddles covering large portions of the central areas. We had 1" flowing through our screen tent and puddling up.
Also, a tree is down on the lake path, at site 24 or 25 (memory fails).
I found the steps down to the water for launching/entering boats to be treacherous. We were in site 22 and used the entry at 23.
But in general, we like camping at NM, having our vehicles so close so we can go back and forth and store food easily. And no extra fee for a second vehicle is very much appreciated when you have created plenty of space for more than 1.

I love camping and Ninemile. Been going now for 4 years at the same campsite. I was a little sad to see no camp host this trip around. The campground definitely missed the host, the bathrooms were not as well taken care of.
