What Guests Are Saying
Flour Lake Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, quiet setting, with well-maintained private campsites and direct access to the lake, making it ideal for kayaking and fishing. Many campers appreciate the clean facilities and excellent hiking opportunities, particularly the nearby Honeymoon Bluff. However, some concerns were raised about high fees for additional vehicles and occasional issues with restroom cleanliness, as well as reports of disruptive behavior from other campers.

Nice campground. Sites are big. We stay at many in northern Minnesota. The one complaint I have was the outhouse near our site wasn’t cleaned over 6 days we were there. The resort is getting paid but not doing their job. This is much different than others we stay at that have a campground host that cleans them.

The campground and restrooms were what we expected. Nice. To bad so many trees needed to be removed.

This is by far my favorite campground on the gunflint trail!
The site we stay at is fantastic with a direct view of the lake. I love the star gazing, hiking, and small local shops to visit. The grounds and bathrooms are well maintained.
I've seen reviews where people are upset about no cell service but you are very removed from major population areas - in my opinion being in such a beautiful area you don't need a phone and there are local shops you can get wifi as needed.
I couldn't recommend it enough!

Always a great experience at Flour Lake! This time we saw the comet over the lake right at dawn! Beautiful!! Campground is clean, sites are wooded and spacious. Close to Honeymoon Bluff which is a favorite autumn hike.

Very disappointed. Safety and security first. Site and area were pleasant. The underage drinking and partying by 5 or 6 idiots seemed unsafe for me and other campers. No cell service to get support/police. Ruined experience for campers.

Clean campground with plenty of sights. Most sites are separated with trees fairly well. Couple lake side campsites that were very neat but were first come first serve. I read that fishing was suppose to be really good on flour lake. I didn't have that experience, but portage into Moon Lake for plentiful fishing.
