What Guests Are Saying
Flour Lake Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, quiet setting, with well-maintained private campsites and direct access to the lake, making it ideal for kayaking and fishing. Many campers appreciate the clean facilities and excellent hiking opportunities, particularly the nearby Honeymoon Bluff. However, some concerns were raised about high fees for additional vehicles and occasional issues with restroom cleanliness, as well as reports of disruptive behavior from other campers.

Campground provides wooded sites next to lake. Sites are spacious and private, but there are none with views of lake and access is minimal. Footpaths to lake are narrow and overgrown.

We had a great time. We heard a bear come into a campsite near us, but the trick is to put all your food AND coolers into your vehicle. My granddaughters did not like one of the bathrooms due to the smell but there were other choices! The path around the lake was a good hiking bonus

Campground is clean and full of friendly hosts. Swimming beach is shallow, which is nice for kids. It’s also tucked away so it stays mostly calm. Park is fun for kids and bathrooms are accessible and clean.

We were not able to make the trip, because of a scheduling problem. We learned the day we were supposed to check in. I would have liked to cancel our reservation and let someone else use our site, but there was no way to do that on the recreation.gov website, and I couldn't reach anyone at the park.

We stayed for two nights with our two girls. It was their first camping trip (at 3 and 5), and what a great spot for it! We were at site 26, and it was awesome! Nice long road, plenty of space, almost too much! We had our 6-man tent, a 13x13 pop up (with net for bugs), and still could have fit two more AT LEAST! The path down to the lake was longer than expected, but sure was nice! Once we got to the bottom there, there was a sandy spot, about 5 feet wide where you can take a dip in the water. We also did see the northern lights, one ribbon overhead while looking south (kp5). Satellite toilets, meh, but nice to be sandwiched between the restroom and water! Definitely will be back!

An adult bear at the camp ground was bothering people and was rampaging through peoples belongings. We reported to Golden Lodge about the situation and no one cared to do anything about it. Tried to buy bear spray at various resorts and lodges and no one had any.

Loved site 26, long driveway leading to a large T-shaped campsite. Very private but close to water and the restroom.
The site manager was very helpful and friendly.

The sites are clean and spacious. The drinking water is good with spigots placed periodically around the campground. Easy enough access to the lake to hike along the shore, and have access for our canoe. The anglers told me the fishing is pretty good. We fed lots of mosquitoes but fortunately no ticks. We'll happily be back.
