What Guests Are Saying
Trails End Campground offers a stunning and serene location with beautiful views of the river and easy access to canoeing and hiking in the BWCA. Many campers appreciate the well-maintained sites, peaceful ambiance, and wildlife sightings, making it a favorite for relaxation and exploration. However, some concerns were noted regarding the cleanliness of the outhouses and the lack of on-site assistance for purchasing necessities, along with issues related to noise from nearby campers.

We love Trail's End. No wifi, no electricity, all kinds of lakes and wildlife and beauty. This is really camping!

Great sites! Very remote and peaceful. Site 22 probably has the best view. No cell signal.

Great place to go. Bathrooms were kept up. Nice and quiet at and around our campsite #21. Wish the Trails end store was open. Had to travel down the road to another area to get some supplies. There is internet to use to check phones quickly.

A little too close to next door neighbors (first group nice/2nd- not so much:)), but overall a great site. Trail that leads to the water for easy loading kayaks. Really good time.

Maybe the best campground in all of Minnesota and I want everyone to stay away so I can book it anytime I want.

So beautiful and well maintained. Toilets are clean and the sites all have lake views. Hiking at Magnetic Rock and visiting Chik Wauk Nature Center are must do’s. Paddling out to Sag is great if the winds aren’t howling. We saw a moose on the Gunflint Trail on the way up. Always lots of wildlife and birds.

This campground is fantastic! This is a great mix of things to do and great scenery on the lake. There are playgrounds for the kids, activities scheduled (like "S'mores night"), good facilities, super friendly staff, close to other businesses if you forget something.
