Decently clean and accessible. The regularly running railroad is so close if you end up in a site right next to it you will literally feel the ground shake, much less sleep through the midnight train and its whistle. Do not attempt to camp without earplugs.

First time in an Army core park. Very impressed. Clean, modern hook-ups and an excellent nightly rate. I had to trim some limbs in my site so I would not hit them as they were low hanging. But the trees on the main drive was clear. Right along a river at a dam. The ONLY negative was the active train track. There was no schedule of the trains, but when they came by you heard them and could actually feel your rig vibrate. Besides that, AWESOME!I will look at stay at more Army Corp campgrounds in the future.

Beautiful campground, very clean and spacious bathrooms, and nice showers. I really liked the private disability combined bathroom and shower room that you can lock from the inside while showering.
The one problem was the tent sites, of which there are only 2. One is behind the other, and they are very close together so there is hardly any privacy. Especially if you are in the site right by the parking lot - you are open to the whole parking lot and driveway where everyone exits and enters :( there should probably be just the one tent site at the back there.

Only stayed one night passing through. Site 20 near the dam was adequate other than the train that went by at 4am blasting their whistle for a loooong time. Can imagine it woke up the whole campground. Showers were clean. Easy access off the highway. Good fishing.

Very quiet and peaceful. Was small but had a playground for our kids and some hiking so we were very happy. Only complaint was it was by the highway so was a little noisy at times but otherwise great experience!
