Very well kept campsite. Good showers and facilities. A bit noisy with highway noise and a train track but the campground was quiet otherwise.

Such a beautiful park. I believe I had the best site, aesthetically #5. There is great separation on all the sites. I did not use bathhouse as I like my shower in my van. Great trails on the other side of the river for hiking, running and biking. The only drawback (and it's a big one)is that it is just yards from U.S. HWY 2. I solved the traffic noise by wearing noise canceling headphones and enjoyed my fire and beautiful view of the Mississippi River.

This is a beautiful campground with great views and amenities. However it is right off a busy highway so there is A LOT of traffic noise. There’s also a train track that goes right through the campground, which was so bad because there were only a few trains. I’d give this 5 stars if it weren’t for the traffic noise. Rather unfortunate because it is a beautiful campground!

From Grand Rapids, Minnesota, take Highway 2 west for 2 mi, turn left at signs and follow to campground.
