We stay here regularly when in the area. The sites are level, the restrooms and showers are well-designed and clean. The trails across the Mississippi River dam are great. Only downside to this campground is its proximity to the highway and railroad. The trains don’t come often, but when they do, they are loud. The highway is noisier during rush hour.

This was our first camping experience with our new fifth wheel. We had site 10 and luckily the water spicket was just across the road so we were able to refill our fresh water. The showers were clean and warm. The host was very nice and helpful. We had a nice time and will definitely visit again when the acorns aren't dropping. The traffic and occasional train wasn't a problem. A nice campground for the price and close to the stores.

Serene view of the river helps us forget about: 1) the close by highway noise, 2) the occasional train noise, 3) the acorns dropping off of the giant oak trees onto our trailer roof this time of year, and 4) the occasional waft of sewer gas from the dump station depending on wind direction. Staff is always friendly, receptive to questions, and informative. Easy access to hiking and dog walking trails. Grand Rapids, MN offers small town friendliness, scenic drives, and good places to eat and drink with lots of shopping alternatives only minutes away from the campground. We will be back soon. Thank you!

Clean campground to include the bathrooms. Playground was great! Some road noise but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The 1 am train with horns wasn’t ideal. Another thing that was a bit of a bother were the non paying campers spending the night in the parking area near the playground and bathroom. The second night we also had someone spending the night in the pavilion near site 1. All that said we would stay here again.

Beautiful campground. Fill your fresh tank and hope the water pump doesn't fail because there's no water at the sites.
