What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

Beautiful and amazing views. There was one hiccup. When reserving a camp site on the website, it can be confusing. There was a mix up while clicking on the calendar on the website, it appeared someone had already reserved a campsite but in the end it was me??? However initially it wasn't me whom reserved it so possibly could have just been the way the website is programmed? It ended up with us coming to a camp site too early and a other camper from a different group having to sort it out but eventually things were worked out. Other than that it was a great experience. I definitely will return for another visit.

Good cell service, sweet views, and nice dock/sand area for the boat.

At first it seems weird to have to make a reservation but now loving it. We know we have a site and have never seen a double booked site. Last year twice people were having a picnic complete with a fire when even after 3 we arrived. But that has not happened this year.

We were there Sept 5-8. Just after labor day. There was not much boat traffic that went by so it was quite.
Very nice camp location. Nice tent location. The dock was high so step up to get out.

There is not a bad campsite in this park! We spent 4 amazing days canoeing to our 3 different front-country sites. A highlight was getting to see the incredible northern lights from our last campsite at Stones Point. This was an unforgettable family camping trip.

Stayed at Happy Landing campsite. As of 9/3/2022, dock is completely unusable due to flooding this past spring (it is up in the trees), had to land on sandy area near campsite, beware of rocks, and I hope you brought a boat with a shallow draft.

Great boat-in campsite at Mio Beach - only 2-3 hours of canoeing away from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center. Pretty isolated, and complete with two bear lockers, a picnic table, two tent pads, a grill pit, and a pit toilet.

Campsite was beautiful, bear boxes were great to have!
The place is so beautiful it is easy to enjoy with minor discomfort! Voyagers is amazing and we feel blessed to have so much beauty to explore and share with friends. If you want to get away from it all this is the place to go! The stars are incredible!
