What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

Nice beach with a short flight of sturdy steps leading up to a very flat camping area with very few trip hazards. Lots of trails to wander. The tent pads are fairly close together compared to most sites. There isn't much for shade here.

This was our 13th year in a row coming to VNP. We had 2 sites - Browns Bay View and Jensen Bay. Both sites were great as usual, but the toilet boxes were absolutely disgusting. They were almost completely full and full of flies, with complimentary maggots on the seats. This was consistent at both camp sites. Everyone in our group, (and we could tell the group before us...) had to abandon the toilet box and simple "go elsewhere." Although this will not deter us from visiting again, something needs to be done about this issue.

Excellent campsite on level ground on a small island with no predators. Plenty of stable campsite space. Located on the other side of the boat channel, so quiet and peaceful. Toilet was overfull and desperately needs to be emptied by the Park Service. There were maggots and flies constantly on the seat.

We have stayed at this site MANY times. We love the location off the main run, so it is not too busy.
The dock is AMAZING!!! That said it was 11.5 inches under water when we got there this year do to flooding but we made it work. By the las night we even got to use it as the level fell that much over the 6 days we spent at the site.
It is a little bit of a walk-up hill to the site but that is what makes it such a nice high view of the lake from anywhere on the site. Very well protected from wind and has a great view of the Northern sky for nighttime sky viewing.

We spent 5 days at Partridge Point S28 and it is one of the best sites we have ever stayed at!! IT IS BIG!!
You have PLENTY of room to have space between tent sites. The two docks are nice and make loading and unloading a breeze. Eating/food locker area is so nice.
The water is deep right off the dock and rocks to do some swimming during the hotter days.
There is lots of rock and some shade but it would get hot during the longer summer days so plan on swimming a lot! LOL
Fishing is great right out front by the rock island. Planning on staying there again for sure!!!

Might just be me, but now that the border is more open, it seemed like there is less traffic and fewer slobs trashing the park. :)

Stayed five days at Windigo campsite during mid August.
Great dock with nice rubber bumpers and good tie off cleats. Nice bear boxes (2) for coolers and a good fire ring with adjustable cooking grill.
Used the landing at Voyaguers visitor center. Very nice landing with a harbor I utilized to wait out bad weather before heading out to camp. Everything as I expected based on website info.
They say have a marine band radio, but I had good cell coverage at camp for emergency.
My only disappointment wasn't fault of anybody but nature. There was an algae bloom and had to keep my dog away from the water.
Great trip, very nice campsite.
