What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

I love the park and camp there often. Each trip I’ve been in the last few years, there has been at least 4-5 of the large, incredibly loud “cigarette” style boats running the lakes in a group. I thought there was a decibel level restriction in the park that would make these boats illegal to use within the park?

Tent site very overgrown with bushes and overgrowth making the campsite small than it should be. Tents pads hard to get to as you have climb up rock face to reach the tent pads from main camp site. Sand landing is nice and boats are very close to main camp site

We had King Williams Narrows E. Campsite for Thursday July 14th to Sunday July 17th. This campsite is one of 4 along the narrows portion of Crane Lake. There is a water pump and male and female latrines available. Although the amenities are convenient, they are shared between the 4 campsites which are located very close to each other. The campsite closest to ours was maybe only 20 yards from us, so we could see and hear all their activity and there was not much privacy. This site is also located on the only inlet/outlet to Crane lake, so there is a lot of boat traffic. One positive is that there is a small beach area and a large flat rock on the inlet that you can relax on and watch the boat traffic and enjoy the lake. Be aware of the mosquitos and bring bug spray. During the day the bugs weren't bad, but as soon as the sun set they came out thicker than cold peanut butter.

We had the most amazing time in voyagers! We rented a house boat and i believe this was the most excellent way to experience this magical place. There are a LOT of biting bugs and the boat saved us from most of that. The lakes are so warm that you can swim and swim and the beauty is almost overwhelming. If you can go and rent a house boat you are really in for a treat.

Great paddling and fishing adventure! Go check out the beach on Moxie Island, it’s a little paradise!

A lot of Rainy Lake campsites were still closed because of the recent flooding, but not ours. We rented a canoe from a local retailer, strapped it to the car and took it to the launch at Rainy Lake Visitor Center. Stone's is about a 2 mile trek by canoe from shore to shore. The campsite was large but isolated, right on the coast with nothing but miles of islands and river views. Tentsites are marked and flat. Bearbox. Toilet with privacy wall. Trees for hanging hammocks.

Reserving the permit thought the website was easy. However, I am not sure why I could not reserve a canoe with my permit. During the process, the system said "not available" however when at the sites, canoes were available. That was disappointing.

Very nice camp site, my boyfriend and I had the best time. Located beside a beautiful bay, this site is very scenic and more on the quiet side as there is less boat traffic down here. The facility was in perfect condition. The only downfall was there was a 3-4 foot gap between the water and land where you had a big step down off the dock and had to wade through the water on slippery walks while getting to the boat. This made moving stuff in and out difficult but manageable. Didn’t put a damper on our wonderful trip

There was garbage left at the site. I could not carry it out with a boat with 5 people and supplies included. Unfortunately it was left for the next person.
