What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

It wasn't indicated anywhere that since our booking was off season it meant we'd need to provide our own boat since boats were unable to rent, so when we arrived we were unable to find a boat to get to our campsite. We ended up being unable to camp and had to book a lodge last minute. We loved our stay at the lodge but had been looking forward to camping and boating.

The backcountry site at Ek Lake provided solitude and great views of the lake and the sky. The site is North facing so there is shade most of the day, excellent in the hot summer months, but could be a bit cool in other months. The tent site is too sloped for comfortable sleeping - your sleeping bag slides down overnight.

We go to VNP 5-6 times every year. It is our favorite place in the world. The campsites are great and the privacy and beauty are unmatched.

Spent three days in the park. Paddled from Ash River to Voyageurs Narrows. This particular camp is actually handicap accessible. Dock has a lift, paths are level and made up of gravel, and the fire ring is elevated. We then paddled up to Kettle Falls to explore a bit and then made our way down to Sexton Island. Great l, secluded place to watch the sunset and there were a few game trails to wander about on. On our third day we paddled to Old Dutch Bay. Again, we found a trail headed back into the woods. All campsites were clean, equipped with two bear lockers, fire ring, and tent pads. Markings were easy to find and read.

Confusing. Most of my friends agree with me.

Our trip was a fun but fast one. If planning a trip be prepared for the water level to be down below average. The dock had about a 3 foot drop from the boat. Besides the mice at camp and a pair of burnt shoes in the fire ring camp was nice. Also beware of loud yeti calls in the middle of night. Great views and a good destination all around.
