What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

Parking at visitor centers is limited and very congested. Kettle Falls area is a must see but plan waiting for dock space.

Sites well cared for and maintained. "Kettle Falls" is WAY over rated. There is plenty of other great things to do and not do.

It is an absolutely fabulous experience on the water, that we only scratched the surface of in 5 days canoeing. Great views and swimming with warmer water than I expected. Be mindful of the boat traffic and make sure you’re comfortable with you camping partners since some of the privies aren’t that private.

This campsite has many trails leading to other smaller remote lakes which were fun to hike on. The campsite gets pretty hot because there few trees to shade the tent pads and camping area. Probably a nice spring time site. The bay is shallow with plenty of lake weeds but if you don’t mind the weeds the swimming is ok with a sandy bottom. We heard Barred owls and Merlins were very active around the campsite. We caught enough walleyes for a meal which we were happy about considering the hot weather we had.

Camped on Burnt Island which is in upper Sandpoint Lake. As the island is a one campsite island and largely rocky and forested except for the one end the campsite is located on, it is a good island for camping. If the wind is up, getting there and back can be difficult, but the strong breeze in the evening keeps the bugs at bay and makes for good sleeping.

The campsite is well designed. The only negative was the high amount of boat traffic past it all the time.
