Nice lot. We camped with our RV in the lower camping area. We were only here for 2 nights. Check in is 1pm and check out is noon. Campground is clean. We kayaked the rivers (Sandy and Missisippi). Nice access right from the campground. Rivers were calm. Recommend bringing a mat for in front of your camper as the area we were in didn't have a lot of grass. We will camp here again.

The south side campsites (by the shower building) are short but still very nice and you have your own "private" dock on the lake. Nice atmosphere with playground for kids and a sandy beach (they didn't catch any fish though :( The restrooms/showers are kept very clean.

This was our first experience camping at an Army Corps campground and it was excellent. The site was very nice, staff was friendly and helpful, and grounds were clean and well kept. We'll definitely continue camping at Army Corps campgrounds.

Stayed in site 41 on North side of campground. Beautiful place with nice boat ramps and a nice beach area. Access to Sandy Lake, Aitken River and the Sandy Dam outlet to the Mississippi River. Saw several Eagles with their young juveniles throughout the area. Clean restrooms and showers. Even has a small laundry room (One washer and one dryer)! There is a nice dump station on the South side campground with Black tank wash water and potable water available there. There are a few other potable water spigots throughout the campground. There is another dump station on the North side campground but only has a gravity feed cleaning water tank at that location. It would be nice if the Corp would run pressurized cleaning water and potable water to that dump station.
Overall great campground and enjoyable stay.
The Park Rangers and Camp hosts were very helpful and friendly!
