Beautiful campground. Our only comment is that at every other COE campground we have been to, the campground hosts check in with you at least once and drive around a couple times a day to check on things. The only time we saw these hosts is when we asked for the bathroom code and that was giving me the code and that's it. The power went out after a storm in half of the campground and no info from them. When the ranger drove thru, I asked if he knew about it, and he didn't. We were without power for 14 hours on a hot day. Power went out at a different COE campground last year and the host went around to every camper and updated them on what was going on. That should be what a host does.

We were happy to see they replaced most of the docks on the North and South side, some of them were dangerous. Thank you for upgrades.
We also noticed the weeds were attended to as well. The only negative is the hosts would pounce on you as soon as you arrived at your site to sit and give you your parking pass for vehicles. I had to move my RV several times to get it where i wanted it and they sat in golf cart and watched the entire time. Nobody likes to be micromanaged on vacation. I suggest they wait till campers are set up and come around maybe one time for passes.
thank you

Very nice campground. People camping that wkd were very friendly. Love the Army Corp of Engineers campgrounds in MN. Very well kept up! Especially loved the camp host that was there that wkd, she was very friendly and talkative!

We were grossly disappointed being guests for 30+ years on this visit. Our neighbors had 4 cars; 2 tents on the grass; a large motorhome and about 12 people and 2 dogs. They locked the dogs in the camper for hours and they barked the entire time. The "hosts" Janice and her husband never did their PM loop; they would have seen the mess next to us. Our neighbors also stayed up past 2:00 am and were extremely loud. Other campers went to their site multiple times and asked them to quiet down, which lasted about 8 minutes each time. Upon check out, a guy was filling up at least a 100 or more (2) liter pop/plastic bottles with hose water and washing the back of his car, blocking a line of campers trying to check out. Good Golly, step it up people. No one around to address our concerns. Great place but if you have an emergency/issue, you're on your own.

The camper cabin is tucked back from the road, giving privacy, and has ample room for additional tents on the site. The facilities are kept clean and the beach is large enough to handle multiple large groups with distance between. We loved our visit and will be returning next season.
