What Guests Are Saying

Stony Point is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favored destination for campers. Many appreciate the well-maintained campsites and access to the lake, with several guests returning year after year. However, there are concerns about maintenance, particularly regarding overgrown grass and inadequate pest control, which detracts from the overall experience.

Beautiful park. Well kept up, showers and toilets were clean. Walker, MN is an awesome place to visit. Water is so clear in Leech Lake. Enjoyed our experience, hoping to come back one day.

The campground is great, but we went one whole night without electricity and nobody to contact to fix it. We had to wait till the next day and it did go out off and on a few more times during the weekend.

We spent the week at Stony and the power to the whole campground went out 4-5 times for extended periods of time. With a very hot week/weekend it was miserable without power of any kind. Several of the outages lasted over 8 hours each. With no Host there was no communication or anyone that came around to notify us of the situation. There was no clear number to call about the power or concerns. Very disappointing trip.

My husband and I stayed at Stony Point for 5 days and 4 nights. The first 2 days my father joined us for some walleye fishing on Leech Lake. We had a successful time fishing. After my father left, my daughter and 2 granddaughters joined us for 2 days of beach time, swimming, campfires and s'mores. My granddaughters and I used the shower house twice and they were very clean. The mayflies hatched while we were there....so that was kind of a messy bummer.

Site was clean and even had a nice welcoming note with kindling for our fire. The view was fabulous!
