Whitten Park is a well-kept, beautiful campground located along the Tennessee-Tombigbee River, offering clean facilities and friendly hosts. Visitors appreciate the spacious, level sites, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great getaway. Some amenities, like the bathrooms and trails, could use updates, but overall, guests enjoy their stays and express a desire to return.

We enjoyed the park. The only problem was we developed ants in our 5th wheel. That has never happened before so we will stay in another location at the park if we return.

Things are beginning to look run-down or maintenance is lacking. Several lights in disrepair on the trail / walk. Pad had a film of mud on it, not washed. The check in staff - (Gary?) - was above and beyond. Excellent. The fishing pier was enjoyable - but I think some of the planks need attention. Overall - a thumbs up. Quiet. Peaceful. Relaxing. Level pad. I would definitely stay here in the future.

Nicely spaced, paved sites, many fronting a pretty lake; swimming beach nearby; plenty of shade trees. Scenic and peaceful. Water & electric.

As with most Corps of Engineer’s parks we’ve seen, this one was very nice. Located along the Tombigbee Waterway, the sunset was beautiful. There are a couple of fishing docks, a boat launch ramp, and a few walking trails at the park. We had a concrete site pad and there were large green areas throughout. The park was just a few miles from I-22.
