Whitten Park is a well-kept, beautiful campground located along the Tennessee-Tombigbee River, offering clean facilities and friendly hosts. Visitors appreciate the spacious, level sites, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great getaway. Some amenities, like the bathrooms and trails, could use updates, but overall, guests enjoy their stays and express a desire to return.

We only stayed overnight, we arrived late and left early, but the bathroom and showers were clean and well maintained.

My husband and I visited this park recently and we would definitely not recommend it. It had quite a few grounds maintenance problems, ie, much prolific poison ivy, dead trees dangerously hanging over campsites, low hanging limbs to maneuver around and some camp host with very unacommodating and hateful attitudes! It was less than stellar!

Great Campground!
Loved the walking trails in the park and the walking/bike trail to the dam.
Guy's Place at the Marina had the BEST food atmosphere and service.
We stayed on site#2. Nice long backin site with shade all day. Only negative was the drop down from parking pad to site. Made the last step off camper steps about 12 inches.
