Whitten Park is a well-kept, beautiful campground located along the Tennessee-Tombigbee River, offering clean facilities and friendly hosts. Visitors appreciate the spacious, level sites, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great getaway. We were given many recommendations (as we are new campers) for this particular Park. We live less than 25 miles from this Park, but when we're here it's like we're in a whole different world! Plus, our grandchildren live locally to the Park and gives us even more opportunities to spend time with them in a different dynamic.
The daily rate makes it VERY POSSIBLE to come repeatedly without breaking the bank!
☆☆☆☆☆ FIVE STARS!!!

The campground is fantastic. Very well maintained. Bathhouse are very clean. Lots of things to do. Walking paths, fishing, boating. Lots of access to the river. The nights were very quiet. There is shopping and restdraunts within a few miles...perfect place for a week or just an overnight stay.

This is an excellent park with fairly level, mostly back-in water/electric sites with water views or woods views and spaced well apart. Lovely trails and boardwalks through the woods down to piers on the water. Clean bathhouses, dump station. The campground is part of the Whitten Park recreation area so there are boat ramps, historical center and other attractions right there in the park. This is in the midst of some very interesting Civil War memorials and sites and well worth a few days to explore the area.

Very nice campground. Original plan was to stay overnight. We ended up being there for 4 days. We will absolutely be back and highly recommended.
