Hernando Point Campground offers a charming escape with spacious, clean sites and beautiful views, especially along the river. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and the friendly staff, making it a great spot for families and RV owners. Great place . Even though a lot of the trees are gone from the tornado a few years ago, it’s still a Beautiful Campground. Two of the three bathhouses have air conditioning, & they are clean.

The Men's shower would not drain properly and was not very clean. It was almost too hot to shower as the AC was not in working order. Other than that the camping is fantastic and the new look and sewer drops make this a great place to camp! Kudos to the COE team for a great place.

This has become my favorite place to camp. I am very thankful it is close to home so we can be here often.

I always enjoy this location. The grass was in need of a mowing, knee high.

Great campsite, full hookups but in 2 weeks didn't see 1 park ranger and with no hosts and to gate lots of traffic of non campers. Little signage so many campers driving around trying to find their site and speed limit was 5MPH which was a joke driviing way to fast thru park. And the biggest problem beach was closed and it has been for sometime but nothing on web site to indicate that until you turn onto park rd and see sign beach closed.

Generous sites and beautiful views. We picked a site close to the bathhouse, and most sites in our area were close and accessible to the it anyway.
Bathhouse is dated, and clean. Toilet paper needed refreshing when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Would recommend trying for a lake side site and we will recommend to our camper association for a group event.

We've stayed twice. The 1st time it was an incredible experience. Everyone was friendly, the park looked gorgeous even though the water was very high due to recent rains. We returned a little more than 2 weeks later (6/24) and the grass has obviously not been mowed since before 6/8. The grass and weeds throughout the park is over a foot tall and visitors are bringing their personal mowers to mow their sites to make them usable. This is unacceptable for ANY campground and potentially unsafe due to incursions of insects, snakes and other wildlife.
