Hernando Point Campground offers a charming escape with spacious, clean sites and beautiful views, especially along the river. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and the friendly staff, making it a great spot for families and RV owners. What a great hidden gem. Widely space sites. Right on the lake. Full hook ups. Close enough to Memphis and Graceland.

We loved our site #28 because it was on the lake and we had a great breeze. This helped to keep the nats away.

It was so much better when they had the volunteers here. Nobody is around if you need help. Grass is always too tall & probably why campers get infested with ants. Gravel patches across several roads always have holes that need to be filled. Very unsafe for children riding bikes, scooters, etc. Too bad the campground now has full hookups but the care of it has declined considerably.

The campsite I reserved was very nice and overlooked the lake. It was cement with gravel on the sides. Water and electricity were readily accessible. We loved the spot however we were unaware that the location is infested with ants. By morning we had ants crawling in the rv and we are very clean people. The unit hasn't ever been cooked in so these ants are just so numerous that they went foraging by the hundreds. They were crawling up the water hose and the electrical outlet when I went to tear down. They had also crawled into my pickup which was unhooked completely. The neighboring campers said that they were aware because they camp there often and that one had to completely treat the site before parking. On another note the showers were climate controlled and fairly clean however all of the locking mechanisms on the doors were broken off.
We liked the site very much and would definitely return. Just wanted to let others know they need to fumigate and treat before staying at Hernando Beach campground. Getting rid of ants your rv can be a real tedious endeavor.

After I've been there two days someone came in nextdoor and asked me to watch his camper cause he had two midgets hiding under his camper and would not come out. Don't know what kind of drugs he was on but it it must have been some bad stuff.
I planning on going back and hope nothing like this happens again.
