Hernando Point Campground offers a charming escape with spacious, clean sites and beautiful views, especially along the river. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and the friendly staff, making it a great spot for families and RV owners. Great campsite beside Arkabutla Lake. Showers and latrine were nearby and very well kept. Plus, the price (with my See America the Beautiful Senior pass) was spectacular!

Good to be back at Hernando point after the storm damage. It should be even better next year after the winter and rains.

Bathhouse was fairly dirty. Picnic tables were metal and nice. No one was in office or would answer phones when our spot was taken.

This was my very first time camping at any National campground (I am a complete Noobie when it comes to this). With that said, Hernando COE was hands down Excellent! 4 Stars because they are still cleaning up from a tornado last year and Hernando has only been reopened about 2 months. Looks like every site has full hook ups! Sites are big, mostly level and all ahve lots of trees and nature! This is a hidden gem and I will be back!

Loved the campground...Our site #18 was huge & had a great view of the lake...You can tell they have been working hard to renovate the grounds and it's still a little muddy from all the dirt work & construction...But nothing we couldn't work around...
