Very nice campgrounds. Clean restrooms and air conditioned. We were on site 27 which is a designated handicapp site. Nice pad and very level.

The campsites are awesome and the staff is friendly. However I am concerned about what we were told is about to happen.
While we were there some volunteers came by and placed a metal picnic table on our site. We had selected the site because it had a concrete pad that allowed us to set up our pop up clamshell dining fly without being in the grass (which was high because of the rain) and thus less bug infested. However the volunteers said the table was going to be bolted down right in the middle of th pad, which will make it unusable for our shelter. Will be disappointing if we can’t use our shelter anymore ☹️

Nice, peaceful two weeks spent at Hernando Point on site 22. We were impressed with the upgrades to the playground and the small lake as you come into the campground. The new camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Even though there is no lake at the moment, it is still a very pretty view and the eagles with their youngsters made it a lot of fun to eagle watch. They were mowing the campground when we arrived and mowing again when we left. I'm so glad Hernando Point is being kept up and looked after better. Way to go, Corps and Rangers!

Site 38: shade most the day. Large pad. Easy hookups. Beautiful large park with sites widely spaced from other sites. Didn't use bathroom so no review for those, although one looked brand new. Took about 20 minutes to get to the main highway. As announced, the lake bed is dry. Very quiet!

Very nice campground. Large lots and quite and lots of places to walk the dog. Look forward to returning when the lake levels are back to normal.
