What Guests Are Saying
Frank Russell campground is highly praised for its clean, spacious, and well-maintained sites, including level concrete pads with full hookups and ample room for privacy. Visitors appreciate the beautiful surroundings, well-kept trails, and facilities, making it a favorite for camping with horses and enjoying outdoor activities. While some noted issues like noise from neighboring sites and the need for more on-site staff, overall, guests express a strong desire to return and recommend the campground for a relaxing experience.

The Park and site were excellent. We had an issue at first with the 30 amp breaker, but using a dog bone we were able to use the 50 amp until they fixed it the very next day. We will definitely be coming back to this and other Army Corp of Engineer parks.

I love the park. The sites are well spaced and situated to give maximum privacy. The new concrete is great. It could be closer to level. But still awesome compared to some gravel sites. Overall 10 out of ten.

Beautiful park well maintained. If I had a complaint about anything it would be the lack of a attendant.

One of our favorites campgrounds to camp at! Hosts are welcoming, sites and shower house are clean. Plenty of space, but close enough if you are camping with someone!

Beautiful spacious campsites with newish concrete pads. The grounds are well maintained with plenty of grassy area. Trails thru the whole campground. Peaceful and super quiet. The path to the lake from the campgrounds is not long but itβs a climb with stairs. Fishing alongside the lake is easy with shelf rocks to sit on. Swimming in the lake is accessible but no real beach area. The fishing pond is gorgeous at sunset, what a view. The horse corals are in decent shape. Highly recommend for a relaxing time.
