Indian Creek Campground is highly regarded for its beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained sites, surrounded by nature and offering easy access to hiking and Mark Twain Lake. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for many. While there were minor issues with booking and bathroom cleanliness, overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Reservations are done online using a poorly designed website. It takes multiple steps to try to locate a site assess the condition of the site including overhead trees and slope. Typically two pictures exist of the site. When we arrived we found that the site had a significant amount of slope and there were low overhead tree branches that would definitely be making contact with the camper. We attempted to change the site using the app without success in all, multiple attempts were made to change the site and moved to a different location but the app would just not work we did not stay at the originally reserve site but instead stayed at a different location. Our biggest disappointment is the crankiness of the app and the difficulty encountered attempting to change sites. Second to that is the lack of on-site people to assist. One cannot call or contact anybody to get assistance in changing reservations. In contrast, the reservation site for Kansas State Parks is much more user-friendly, and you can always call somebody who is more than happy to assist you in making changes.

Our family of 4 absolutely loved Indian Creek and brought home wonderful memories. The only downfall of our stay was the showerhouse.

ADA sites should be checked to see that someone using them is actually handicapped. My husband has a wheelchair and it is next to impossible to get around in the gravel spots while NON handicapped people occupy the ADA sites. Ada sites should be reserved for persons with mobility devices - wheelchairs, walkers - not occupied by able-bodied people just because it has a concreate patio and people do not want to track in the sand/gravel. People have referred to them as "Premium Sites"

Our campsite was private. We love watching all the wildlife in the woods.
