Indian Creek Campground is highly regarded for its beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained sites, surrounded by nature and offering easy access to hiking and Mark Twain Lake. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for many. While there were minor issues with booking and bathroom cleanliness, overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Indian Creek is one one of our favorite camping spots. We love the walking trails and the wooded campsites feel so private.

We are very new to the RV camping world. So please know that my review isn't based on years of comparison. It's simply my observation from stay at Indian Creek campground. First impression was luke-warm. The lady at the check in station provided only the information that I asked about. Since, as stated, we are pretty new to this, I didn't ask some things that would have been nice to know. Such as "What loop is our campsite in"? She provided no map to us. Luckily, we were meeting friends that were in the adjoining spot. We were able to get some help from them. (They weren't as lucky. They cruised around for a while before finding their spot.) The campsite itself, although a challenge to back in to, was great! lots of trees and at least 50 yards from the next spot on either side. Some are closer together, but all seemed to give you some "space". One drawback we had, and I noted many others had was the slope to the rear. I had our trailer tongue as low as possible but still needed to go lower to get level. Side to side was very level. The campground itself was very clean and everyone seemed respectful of each others areas as well as the common areas. The walk from our spot down to the lake was really pretty and well marked. Stairs going down the hillside made the walk easier, but some of the timbers are showing some wear, so keep an eye on your footing. As we were preparing to leave a very friendly guy came by in an "Official" white truck. I can't remember what it said on the truck. But he stopped and asked if we would like him to take our site tag back and return it for us, so we didn't have to stop on the way out. The dump station was well maintained and clean. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. It was our first time at a C.O.E. campground. I hope they are all as nice!
