About Little Bear Cabin
Little Bear Cabin was built in 1938 and still looks much the same as it did back then. It is available year-round for recreationists, as well as for those who seek a quiet mountain retreat.
The cabin can be accessed by vehicle during the summer and fall (June 16th - December 31st) weather and snow conditions permitting, but winter access requires snowmobiling or skiing 10 mi from the paved road.
Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities.

Love the FS cabins been going for 30 years. Little Bear needs some TLC. Screens (especially!) and a vault toilet (if possible) would be nice.

Fabulous location. Views. Hikes. The cabin was perfect for all of us. Table. Firepit. With two kids, we drove right up to the cabin BUT I rented an Subaru Outback to do so. You definitely need a vehicle that can handle the road!... or hike there... or, what I will do next time, bike there. The cabin was beautifully maintained. 10 Stars!
