Very clean campground; really nice shade among the mature trees. Fish are in the creek, but they're a bit sparse probably due to fishing pressure. My kids had a lot of fun regardless. More recreation possibilities for us down at painted rocks, but the state campground there was just not nearly as nice as Alta.

Beautiful campground with excellent
hosts, but bear activity in campground caused us to leave early.

A little out of the way but super clean camp, great camp hosts, regular LE patrols, and plenty of fishing.
Can fill up on hoidays and weekends but getting a 1st come, 1st serve site midweek is almost always possible.

We LOVE this campground. The spaces are not cramped together, huge trees for an added feeling of privacy and its walking distance to the river. Our only negative to this specific site is it is backwards for those with a trailer. The doors will open to the road instead of the picnic table area. Not a huge deal though.

Large, sturdy picnic table and fire ring in each spot. Pit toilet room is large, clean and well maintained. Mature pines offer welcome shade. Site spacing is a good balance of privacy and safety through proximity. Nearby riverbank (clear, rushing mountain stream) is a beautiful destination. Tent campers may pitch on fine crushed gravel or dirt (be prepared to cut a few young sprouts to prepare the area). Convenient potable water spigot. No network connection, so approach campground understanding not only how to get there, but also where yo go when you leave.
