Madison River campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and excellent river access, making it ideal for fishing and nature lovers. Many appreciate the quiet atmosphere, nice separation between sites, and proximity to scenic views, though some mention road noise and occasional mosquito issues. A few negative points include tight parking for larger trailers and limited campground services, but overall, visitors express a strong desire to return.

They do not provide anything besides a site. No garbage removal, toilet paper is gone a lot of the time. Not sure how they expect people to camp but not have any garbage at all.
Also, not sure why you can’t just stop in and reserve a site. I feel bad for older people who do not know how to use their smart phones.

Picked a bad time to camp at MR. It rained/snowed the entire time I was there, the ground had turned to muck which made keeping my camper van clean a near-to-impossible task.
