This campground was larger than we expected and feels like it just popped out of nowhere. Our tent site was great and close to the bathroom/shower. No hand soap so bring your own. There were 2 showers, 1 handicapped accessible, but the privacy curtain went across both so if you are trying to shower at the same time as a stranger it might feel a little uncomfortable. Overall, I'd come back.

Loved the park! Happened to be there during the Governor’s fishing contest. Ate fish fry, watched boats go out in the morning, nice clean showers. Would stay again!

I love this campground . The campground is always clean and quiet. Our kids love the bike trails and ponds. The website for the Downstream CG says there is a fish cleaning station. Where is it on location? Not everyone has the opportunity to make reservations 6 months ahead of time to camp. I think it's time to expand the opportunities at this location. Every campground in the area was packed to the gills. I will continue to TRY and get a reservation at this CG as it is one of my favorites but things need to change.

Had a great time. Friendly staff checked us in. Kayaking the Missouri River is a must.
