Great campground, good place to do nothing or walk the trails. The tour of the powerhouse is a must, very educational!

We had a great stay at downstream. The campground is well laid out, comfortable, and close to many points of interest. Your staff tipped us to some of the most interesting things and gave us directions. A note about your staff, they were great. Friendly, helpful, and made us feel like family.
Our next trip west will include a visit to Downstream, for sure.

We loved Downstream (after we were able to change our erroneously made reservations at the similarly named CG in ND!) It was clean, quiet and convenient. One of the bathrooms was closed so there was a lot of use of the other and it was in need of a cleaning but not disgusting. I was taken aback when I saw one of the camphost parked right next to it and wondered if they had arranged for the cleaning. Check in was a bit confusing as the procedure was a bit different than we are accustomed to (we have been full-timing for 5 years in many public parks) but it was all good in the end.
The site was well leveled, the patio area immaculate and the grounds were well tended. An all round great campground.

The Folks who were the attendants were friendly and helpful. But the reservation system that is in place is frustrating and difficult to understand. When you go on line to check for reservations all the camp sites are reserved. You never really know if their are any sites available till you drive in. Then you may or may not be able to find a spot. Very confusing system!

We really enjoy this downstream campground, although the rules on the 'non-reservable' sites could be more explicit. If an occupant's tag indicates that they will be leaving the next day and they pull out the next morning and take down their site tag, that site should be available immediately for any arrivals. If new arrivals are limited to coming in at 'check in' hours, those who arrive before 'check in ' hours should be able to get in line right away, and not move offsite for several hours, thereby allowing other arrivals to get in the 'wait' line right away.

Really nice campground. We did the theater in fort peck and the tour of the dam. It has nice walking and bike trail. The pads were paved and easy to back into.
