What Guests Are Saying

Jo Bonner Campground offers well-maintained sites, clean facilities, and an exceptional camp host, Todd, who goes above and beyond to assist campers. The beautiful lakefront locations and wildlife enhance the overall experience, making it a popular choice for return visits. However, some guests noted issues with overcrowding and water quality during certain times of the year, but overall, the campground is described as friendly and enjoyable.

On weekends this place is really just for locals. So many boat trailers, cars and trucks that it’s more like a parking lot than a CG. Parties go long after quiet hours. The CH off duty sign was there our entire 5 day stay and we never saw them. A truck illegally parked overnight in overflow had its alarm going off all night. Sites are incredibly difficult to level. A lot of loud construction generators. Folks cut through sites without regard. I gave it two stars because after it emptied out mid-Sunday it was nice

On arrival found that the reservation sign had someone else’s initials on it, not our own, and was also being occupied by a neighboring camp sites truck and boat trailer. Neighboring campers were not to be found to even ask to move - so we were unable to pull our camper in. Additionally, someone from another site kept coming to check the reservation tag, which to us implied someone else was looking at the site. Camp host was unavailable “off duty” in person and by phone to try and help resolve. Waited for three hours - before deciding to cut our losses and locate a new site.

Beyond that - the campground wasn’t much more than an open field with pull through spaces. No shade. No privacy if seeking any. Generally wasn’t a good experience from the get go.
Im sure this place was great for all the boaters, but as a campground - I wouldn’t! Not again!

Beautiful little campsite site!!! Tons of privacy from other campers and lots of trees and grass! The front sites 001 and 003 are right at the water edge! A nice little beach and small creek flowing into the bay. Great cell service and super clean bathrooms! We will camp here again!
